• Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative health care model focussing on the physician-patient relationship. This membership model promotes the development of a long-term, trusted relationship without the restrictions often demanded by insurance companies. There are currently over 1800 DPC practices across 48 states.

DPC doctors do not bill insurance companies for visits. By charging a low monthly fee, we are able to provide comprehensive, price-transparent care.

When was the last time you were able to see your doctor when and where it was convenient for you? Whether by email, phone, telehealth or in person office visits, your DPC doctor is working directly for you to keep you healthy. This includes access for same day or next-day visits for urgent matters.

  • Our goal is to provide personal, accessible, affordable medical care to all of our members. You do not need insurance to be a Direct Primary Care member.

It is important to remember that your DPC membership is NOT insurance.

We strongly encourage our patients to have medical insurance to cover expensive diagnostic testing, hospitalizations, surgery and unpredictable catastrophic events. A high deductible plan with lower monthly premiums can be ideal with a DPC membership. Such plans can be found on CoverME.gov. A Health Share plan may also be an option.

  • Absolutely! We are Board certified family physicians. Our training includes caring for newborns through all ages and stages of life.

  • You have options.

We offer a “cash pay” option for discounted labs drawn at the office. Many patients find this is more affordable than using their insurance. If you choose to use your insurance, the lab company will bill them directly.

Our goal is transparency. Pricing is available for all in office testing and services.

You always have the option to have your labs done at any lab of choice and have them billed directly to your insurance.

For imaging, we can direct you to affordable cash pay imaging centers or you can use your insurance for your imaging center of choice.

  • Whether you have insurance or not, referrals can be made for you to see specialists as indicated. For urgent consults, Dr. Gold and Dr. Perreault will personally call the specialist on your behalf.

Given extended visits and access, you may find that the majority of your health care can be managed by your Direct Primary Care doctor with fewer specialist appointments needed.

  • Concierge Medicine and Direct Primary Care models both provide access, additional time and personalized care from their doctors. The major differences include higher pricing and additional charges to your insurance company for certain office visits and procedures in a Concierge practice.

We (DPC) do not charge insurance for any services performed by our doctors. DPC is a more affordable option, providing a higher level of personalized healthcare than the traditional fee for service, insurance based model.

  • In addition to access, personalized care, transparent pricing and no co-pays, DPC offers savings on medications and diagnostic testing.

We purchase many medications at wholesale prices from free-market vendors. This enables us to pass these savings to you.

Many common medications can be dispensed directly from the office. This includes medications taken daily as well as temporary prescriptions for acute illnesses. For medications we are unable to order, we can offer discount programs.

Imagine being diagnosed with an ear infection or pneumonia and being able to leave the office with your prescription in hand. No need to make a trip to the pharmacy and stand in line when feeling poorly.

Your DPC doctor can also help you find affordable options for diagnostic testing including cardiac monitoring and home sleep studies.
